Nothing screams fashion as ardently as Bollywood in India. Since time immemorial, movie stars, with the help of fashion designers and later fashion stylists, made trends a buzzword across the country. 

Globalisation and the export of Western pop culture changed the way Indians perceived fashion. What was once highly exclusive and out of reach for most became readily available for the burgeoning middle class. Everyone is putting their currency into fashion trends to look chic and elegant, from high street fashion to wedding glam looks. 

The year 2022 saw the Bollywood celebrities going all out with fashion trends after a couple of arrested years of the ongoing pandemic. Ranveer Singh shocked the nation in his nude avatar spread across magazine papers, and Deepika Padukone flaunted our Indian heritage in her looks at the 75th Cannes Film Festival. 

The looks mentioned above might be impractical for us— the non-Bollywood, mere humans. However, many celebrities have displayed envious and exceptional fashion trends for us to follow.

What happens when the perfect worlds of athletic and lounge wear are brought together— it creates the magic termed Athleisure. A product born out of the need to look decent when working from home for us commoners, athleisure is a hit with celebrities coming out of their gym sesh or heading to the airport for work or private trips.

Bralettes, camisoles, tights and shorts in different fits, patterns and colours are all-time favourite fashion trends with Bollywood celebrities. Be it Tiger Shroff, Malaika Arora or Sara Ali Khan— all seem to have been bit by the athleisure bug. This fashion trend seems to be staying for a long while here.
